"What's up my N-words!?" Trevor Phillips and the Beauty of GTA 5 review.

What a beautiful game. What a chaotic story. What complex characters.

Just a post to post.

Well, I hope the SWS can have at least one or ten, big meet ups during this season of COD. Looks to be that everyone will be purchasing this game. It is fun. Once you get over the steep initial learning curve of a new game with slightly different features than the last. That first night was a bitch fest of immense proportion. The few days following those feeling wore off and the groove that is COD comes back.

The maps are large...and some...just feel all too familiar being the COD veterans we all are. One map felt like Jungle from Blops. You could really feel that one group, either Raven Software or one of the other five studios are doing most of the maps. The maps are really busy too, like they were in previous Treyarch games.  Very un-Infinity Ward like. Boxes, crates, little buildings, foliage, rocks and shit flying in the air, that you think is a dude moving in peripheral vision; this is always a little off putting at first. Lots of vertical levels and hiding spaces abound. Lots of camping, because there is so much space to cover and to over watch when you find a cherry sniper perch. It is also very easy to get shot from behind and spawn death is imminent.

Hope to see the clan assemble soon. Six to fill a lobby now. Kinda a bummer.

SWS out.

Just a fun little stroll down the boulevard in Los Santos.

I did the first two missions and I am just amazed at the game, that is Grand Theft Auto 5. I decided to just go for a walk and ended up on Grove Street. I instantly knew where I was and that was surprising. For those who played GTA: San Andreas will understand where I was. It was the safe house and the homecoming of Carl Johnson the main protagonist.

I also found the MINI Cooper (Big fan of the car) look-alike in game right away and put it in the garage for future customization. Thought I was going to hunt for that, nope, just sitting across the street from the garage, HEHhee! The level of detail in this game is awesome. Looking forward to playing some more and finding some other cool ass sh*t. I have seen you can ride the roller coaster on the pier! Whhhheeeeee!

Nerd Stuff.

As the summer winds down and we all spend less time on the beach, tv, sports, and video games all come to the forefront. What will you dorks be spending time watching?

My backyard

New rule.

You have to be a contributing author before you queer up the site. Dick. Looks nice otherwise. Was shocked.

The Autumn game release is almost upon us...Whatcha gonna buy or looking forward to?

I wasn't really interested in another round of COD; until I saw that they really did revamp it like they did with COD Blops. Lots of changes with that same old familiar structure intact. I just can't quit you.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is another on my list. Gonna get that. South Park: The Stick of Truth is an interesting game as well; an RPG with that special humor that South Park brings. Gonna wait til that drops down to 20 bucks for that though.

What are you guys interested in that's coming out? Are any of you going to make that big splash and leave us all behind for that Xbox One. Hopefully we will all meet again on COD.

"Dangerous times, Dangerous Measures; Protect your women and your treasures" Bioshock Infinite; Borrowed from a Friend Review

The wonderful world of Bioshock brought to you from Irrational Games and Ken Levine. You like Bioshock? You like Bioshock 2? You will like Bioshock Infinite. Very simply, in my opinion they did a pencil rub of the first game's framework and made this journey into another world. Once again a plot that twists and turns with an ending that endures.

Jobs' done, Ready to Serve.

I took the week off last week of playing viddy games, as I was waiting for a copy of Bioshock Infinite from a friend. Luckily for me the "shit to do" list is long. I said F it, I'm staining the deck. One of the larger projects on the list and has been since we moved in. It only took me the week to finish. All by myself, mostly. Hired the neighbor kids for 2 hours one afternoon and forced my wife to help me finish on Saturday. Mind you, I do most housework on the joyous daily event called "naps;" that's when I did the deck too. Glad it's done and I can get back to gaming. Finally got Bioshock Infinite in my grubby California Redwood stained hands. It's great!

"It's not my fault" Fallout: New Vegas DLC Lonesome Road; One Less in the Backlog Review

Finally the last DLC is done for Fallout: New Vegas; Lonesome Road. This was an end to a grandiose story arch for the entire game.

"Mustard Custard" Fallout: New Vegas DLC Old World Blues; One Less in the Backlog Review

Once again, another installment of DLC from the folks who gave you Fallout: New Vegas. This was a fun little DLC that will take any fan of Fallout 3 back to simpler times.

"The Burned Man" Fallout:New Vegas DLC Honest Hearts, One Less in the Backlog Review

I wasn't going to write a review on this just yet but, the blog looks a little lonely since May.

"God damn!, she is a pyromaniac, murdering, cold bitch! (in good way)" Tomb Raider: One Less in the Backlog Review

First off, let me thank THE LEADER GUY, RageInu for graciously letting me borrow a game that was going to be purchased eventually and stuck in the backlog. Thus, the pseudo preemptive title.

I also told Rage to write a review for this, being his game and having beaten first, but alas after multiple suggestions to do so...

This Is Growing Up

Its been way too long since I have contributed anything to this little webpage that I helped create a few years back, and I suppose its about time I put fingers to keys and give Regenfall the opportunity to read something on here besides what he just wrote.

Happy Birthday, Ranvier!

You're one step closer to dying!  And then respawning!  AND PWNING MORE N00BS!!!

But seriously.  Happy Birthday.

"The Origin of Frustration" Rayman Origins, One Less in the Backlog Review

Who likes platforming? I did when I was a wee lad, for that's mostly all there was to play...back in the day. Rayman has even been around that long as well.

"Save the cheerleaders" Bad Company 2 One Less in the Backlog Review

Yet, another title completed. I still may yet complete my journey to clearing out my backlog.

Resolution! Happy New Year SWS!

Well, hopefully every one survived their New Year parties and have continued to trudge on to the outlook of a new year.

I know we ALL have busy lives right now but, really wish maybe as a group we could set aside some time to get together,...*sniff* like we used too. I miss the drunken nights we shared together.  Maybe just one night a month preferably a Friday or Saturday. When drinking late into the night doesn't have such consequences toward our following day. WE NEED TO GET THE BAND (the whole, or as much as possible, or a full lobby) BACK TOGETHER. I felt we have all lost touch. Clear your calendar.  Let's do this!
