New battle...field, old memories. One Less In The Backlog Review!

Golly gosh, gee golly it's been a long time since I had actually completed a game, this feels strange. The autumn over-expenditure has yielded some great experiences and some that I haven't even played yet. Battlefield 1 was highly acclaimed and I conned people into to buying it, or so I am told. It was bought with Titanfall 2 another game that will be a hold over until time is freed to play.

It's alright. We have so many opportunities and options!

Well, COD Remastered has been good and bad. It feels faster to me and sometimes you just suck for some reason. like the game is like "HA! YOU WILL SUCK THIS ROUND!" Then proceed to go even the next. Though the nostalgic feels still make this a fun game. Ranvier has found that Kill Confirmed is where it's at; and I tend to agree. Quicker pace, no campers and overall fun.

I personally haven't played the Infinite Warfare campaign but Rage says that it is a great sci-fi story and I am looking forward to that.

Some of us, have decided to purchase Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 bundle on a deal and I am looking forward playing the campaigns and multi players aspects of those games. As some of our members are still scattered to these other games. PSIA,...Karma. The single player campaigns did get good reviews so there's that.

I hope to see some good nights of gaming ahead after the holidays and the SWS talking sh*t on the mics.

I also hope you all have a joyous holiday season!

Survey Says!?

Well is looks like the consensus to purchase the new iteration of the Call of Duty series in November is a go. With COD4 Modern Warfare included in deal and the purchase price of $80 fucking dollars it make the nostalgia feels alone makes it worth it.  Not really, but, it will be fun!
Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare - Digital Deluxe Edition

And since we are sucking on Activision' knob, the DIGITAL DELUXE VERSION $100 COMES WITH INFINITE WARFARE--SEASONPASS--MODERN WARFARE  00==D

ALL them maps, for an extra $20

Looks like the pre-order bonuses are Terminal and some zombies bonuses. Thought I saw something about playing COD4MW early, alas, that's only for the PS4 folks. Asses.

Looks like a beta in October too.

2nd Annual Fishing Trip, Ready for the NEXT!

I'd like to say thank you to all the participants in the 2nd annual SWS "We fish for sport and camp for fun and drink alcohol for a past time" trip.

It did have its ups and downs, the camper, on its maiden voyage was not going to cooperate as it had shown. The crank lift to RAISE THE ROOF, was not working, as a pin had fallen out. I put a knee through the converter box cover, bad me. Scary to boot.
Fixing that crank was fun...

Otherwise it was a great trip with some great memories made, many fish were caught, many beers were consumed and great food was eaten, though I am still concerned that that last bratwurst still looks a little pink. ( You had to be there to get that one...)

While many of you have bigger aspirations of a vacation, this will always be my go to, as it is familiar, cheap and relatively close for most parties involved.  Which, with my anxiety, is perfect. Fingers crossed we go back next year, I had fun, and I think you guys did too.

The SWS part time express, work in prog...gress. Poet and didn't even know it.

Still working on the camper and she is coming along nicely.  For those who don't know; bought this on the cheap, cheap, roof had leak, rebuilt and fixed that. Gutted the interior made of MDF that was turning back in to saw dust wince it made. Tore up the floor and we said mold no more! Painted with mold killing paint, mold no more. Rebuilt the walls, ran new electrical-4 outlets, 6+ 12volt accessories, installed my old Sony car stereo from 1998, speakers, made LED tail lights and ceiling lights. The converter is installed and works! Need to make some cushions, do some finishing work, button up a few things and biggity bang put that new tenting on. Time is flying. Want to, have to get this done in April, because May looks to be a busy one.

Whoa!, the blog almost turned into a raisin...

Thought I would just check in before this blog withered away on the inter-nets. I am glad to see everyone has purchased the current installment of COD, as always, so much fun.

There is a multitude of multi player games coming out that every one looks interested in, but, my only gripe are the games themselves as they are just small group games and we aren't. The Division is a four play story mode, while the dark zone is free game, I think, I guess we have to wait and see. Homefront 2 is another four player game that looks like fun, yet again, four player.

The Fallout 4 DLC looks good and I have been personally upset with some of the options for settlement building and have trying to stay away from building up the settlements. The mods on PC have used pretty much every wall, building and textures from the game to make some amazing settlements. What's even better is that they have taken from in game and doesn't break the lore. This bugs me when exploring out in the wilderness and you see a cool element and ask why isn't that a build-able object in my settlement!? I get this feeling Bethesda is taking the best stuff it has seen and then turning around and making that quick buck before the GECK and mods are released.

I really want the RV travel trailers that are spread throughout the Commonwealth, they would make a great settlement structure. I would love to build real houses; set  a settler limit you had to have then slowly they would build a house over time, not just a shack house. I want windows and the lot, to build up a little neighborhood. This game is missing a lot of doodads for settlements. I also want the spring cleaning mod or something like it. The mod cleans the trash, leaves and random piles of what not from your OCD settlement.  Otherwise the game is just like every Bethesda before, straight exhilarating exploration, my favorite part.

The 2nd annual SWS fishing trip is coming fast upon us and I am reminded that I need to make the reservation for the campsite on Friday. Wahoo! The camper is coming along and I am tempted to bring her inside a little earlier than expected to get started on it. Big plans, my friend, big plans. Finished a new awning bag and now working on a LED transformation. Then the demo of the interior will begin in haste, for the future rebuild. Exciting.

I am making some swag for the fishing trip; a hat, it's a little redneck and a little urban, just like the SWS. If you want one let me know, they will be $15, but totally worth it, as these are "lightly personalized" to you. I have supplies for five and three are spoken for. Two left.

Until the next session.
