"Dead Again": The Walking Dead Season 2- One Less in the Backlog Review

First off if you haven't played this series, I strongly suggest you give it a try. It's "choose your own adventure", a little action and great entertainment.

I bought the season pass on the cheap during a sale (so me!) (cheap ass bastard) (whose got money for sh*t) because I truly enjoyed the first season. The first season you play as Lee, a man on his way to jail and walker circumstances allow him to go free. He soon meets Clementine, a small girl, alone and scared to whom he develops a caring, fatherly relationships towards. Season one happens and now we fast forward to Clementine in season two as the protagonist. She is growing up in the harsh and brutal world of the walker apocalypse; zombies are one thing, people are real danger.

The second season sees Clementine going on a roller f*cking death coaster of pain and suffering. Clementine is growing up and takes charge of many situations that a girl of her age would not be asked to do. The first season was a roller coaster, sure it had it's twists and turns but tame compared to season two, in my opinion.  Living in the zombie apocalypse we strive to find groups for survival, for their skills, numbers and family. Last season characters made it through mostly intact, but this time the group turnover is astounding. Start with Clementine and start the death coaster.

The controls are much better the second season as they should be. The first season the controls were a little off or felt to me, using the wrong buttons for some of the action scenes. For example using A button instead of the RT trigger to shoot and a little confusion using the sticks to aim and the such.

Graphics are still on par for the series with a nice clean up of the animations to make things a little more fluid with less robot-y zombie motions and voice overs.

One thing I did miss from the first season is the little puzzles you had to figure out. Gone are the turn off this and fix this elements from the story. It made you think just a little while playing. Season two is driven by choices and characters, and that's the focal point of the Clementine as the protagonist. She is living first hand the brutality of her world and her actions.

This season ends on massive multiple cliff hanger endings. It may be only threes choices in the end, but, it will be interesting where the canon ending will be for the beginning of season three. I love this series for the great narrative and story, You can sit down with a drink and watch/play a great off shoot of the Walking Dead series. GOOD INU.

I am interested in where Telltale will take their upcoming games involving Game of Thrones, Borderlands and continuing the series of the Wolf Among Us. Which is actually the next one up to bat for me (bought season pass on the cheap F*ck Yeah!) whenever I feel or have to time to play.

I don't know about you guys I but I am going to be playing backlog games well into the Xbox One,...well at least until Fallout 4 gets released. Here's to hoping, and dreaming and wishing.
