New games, INCOMING!

For all you regular nerds of the SWS, the king of the nerds, ME, (..according to Ranvier) has been keeping tabs on the E3 conference going on right now. Watching all the new games arriving in the months to come. Some cool, ass, sh*t.

Rage and I had been watching this demo when it showed on Monday for a game called Tom Clancy's The Division. Small squads are sent out to scour areas of a plague ridden, down-trodden New York City to reclaim the city. Something about a virus is released on Black Friday and decimates the city. Decay, unrest and anarchy ensues. Your squad of co-op partners infiltrate zones and take down enemy combatants retaking bases/safe houses and avoiding the plague in the area. Filled with future tech weaponry and gadgets, the forces you to work in teams to succeed. Even a drop-in-drop-out player can zoom in with a tablet and use drones to help out the teams. Little post-apoc with a little future tech and I am sold. Rage has already proclaimed this the new SWS title to look forward to. Next Gen only...BOO. Can't blame them it's f*cking beautiful to behold.

Far Cry 4 is coming. It looks great too! Scary villain, check. Dude in the wrong place at the wrong time, check. Blowing sh*t up and riding elephants, f*cking check. Wait, what? Yes, riding elephants and rolling the fools who get in your way. Bloody brilliant. Loved Far Cry 3 for the open world, the freedom of exploration, and the off kilter story; here's to hoping a get a second round of that. From what I have read, check. Xbox 360 and Next Gen...freaking excellent.

Tomb Raider 2: Rise of the Tome Raider. Lara is back, and she is trying to adjust to being a cold blooded killer survivor. Tombs are being integrate into the main story line instead of just an optional side quest. My biggest bitch from the first game in the reboot. More likely next gen, holiday 2015.

Another COD, blah, blah, blah. Future tech and weapons, with the newness of it all very appealing, then sat and remembered I felt the same way about Ghosts. Ghosts would have been good without those damn horrible maps. Could you sense my feelings toward this entry...

Assassin's Creed: Unity was really cool to watch and wished I had gotten into the series a little more but alas, no. Highlight was a four player co-op campaign, watching four players sifting through the crowds towards their target. All four perched and ready to strike.

Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt. I must play Witcher 2, it's just sitting there. This new RPG was just too amazing for words.

Inside, a creepy little game from the folks who gave us Limbo. Another must buy, eventually.

More Halo! Halo 5 and the Halo Master chief collection. Halo 1-4 packed into one disc.

Many, many others. New Zelda on the WiiU, still need to hunt down a cheap Wii to play Skyward Sword. Uncharted 4 on the PS4, big fan of this series. Need a cheap PS3 to play Last of Us by the same developer.

I really want the XBONE, but nothing here is screaming for me to buy and anyways my backlog is way to large to give up on it now. Pretty settled in to the agreement with myself that I wouldn't get one until the Kinect XBONE comes down to 399$ I ain't getting it. The one game that will change my mind,...Fallout 4. Then I have no choice, the need will be too great, I will succumb to great envy and jealousy, pain, suffering, these things lead to the Dark Side.

SWS out.
