I just watched...

I really enjoyed this simple flick about a rich engaged girl and a photojournalist who works for her father trying to return to the United States from Central America (Mexico). Mexico has been infected by an alien race after fragments from a satellite carrying alien babies or something falls to the Earth and lands in Mexico. This movie was made on a budget, a very small budget ($15,000) and it works for the film, it gives it some realism that I could appreciate. It gives it a kind of desperate feel to it and it is very well done. It is not your typical sci-fi of the day with epileptic triggering explosions and over the top aliens. Monsters has a subtle thrill and engrossing charm to it. This is on Netflix Instant View if your interested and have it.
